What is USNAVYEMAIL.COM?

An email address locator service for ALL US Navy personnel, active, reserve, retired, discharged, separated, midshipmen, etc...

Is the entire Navy listed here?

No, only people who have registered with our service are listed. THIS IS NOT A US NAVY OR DOD SITE. It is a website dedicated to helping US Navy personnel find their shipmates and it was created and is run by a prior-enlisted officer, currently serving in the US Navy Reserve.

How much does it cost?

Registering and searching services are, and will remain, completely FREE.

How do I use this site?

To SEARCH, ADD OR EDIT records in the database, use the buttons in the menu above. You can also surf the other menus to see what else the site has to offer.

Why is this better than one of those military sites I see in the NAVY TIMES?

Is the database secure from spammers and what about privacy?

It's as secure as I can make it. But consider, major DOD and commercial sites are hacked all the time and they have mucho $$$$ to spend on security. If someone really wants in, they will find a way. Therefore, I cannot guarantee 100% security, no one really can. If you would like specifics on security, please ask. Also, I will NEVER sell or give our lists to ANYBODY outside of our staff for ANY REASON.

Can I change my email address or database information?

Click 'Edit Your Info' from the menu. You will be brought to the 'Check/Update My Info' request form where you will insert the current email address and the password you supplied when you signed up (if you have forgotten your password, it can be emailed to the address in the database).

When you submit the correct information, your record will be available for editing. You can change any fields listed. When the new info is entered, click on 'Update'. Do not empty the fields and click update to delete your record. If you need to delete it, send a note to me.

That's it. Your updated info is in the database. Do a search for yourself to verify.

How do I delete my information if I no longer want to be listed?

You can contact me and I will delete your record for you. The email must come from your primary email address and must contain your password within the body of the email.

What if I lost my password or don't have one?

You can request that your password be emailed to you. Just click here. If you signed up before the password feature was in place, a random password will be generated and sent to you. You can change your password as part of the UPDATE feature.

Can I make a suggestion?

SURE! This site is for you, so let me know what you think and offer ALL critiques (positive or negative) and any ideas for improvement.
